I've had plenty of beers that are good, but a lot of it has to do with personal preference. Do you prefer ales, lagers, pilsners, stouts, porters, etc.? Although I've had plenty good ones from all of those categories my personal preference is ales. And I to prefer a beer with good flavor not just alcohol. The ale that I was introduced to about 2 yrs. ago is my personal favorite now and can hardly drink anything else...lol. It's name is Smithwick's Irish Ale and is owned and produced by Guinness. It's a dark ale but not heavy like a Guinness (stout) but has way more flavor than most of our American beers (both light and regular). It's still not available everywhere in the US yet so you'd have to check for availability in your area. Another way to tell which type you prefer is to find an Old Chicago or a Yardhouse type bar and grill in your area, those two places have a wide variety of beers (usually over 100 different choices). Good luck, it should be an enjoyable search for the best beer...lol!

There is no one best tasting beer. Your choice should depend on what you are doing, whether your are having food, and the time of day/year. For instance, Stone Double Arrogant Bastard is not a good beverage to drink while operating power tools.

Depends on time of year and mood.
Garrisons Nut Brown Ale (Halifax, Canada) is a very tasty winter beer.

Propeller makes an excellent Lager (also from Halifax)

La Fin de Monde is excellent but strong %

samuel smith organically brewed lager is so good.
it's a bit pricey and it comes in large bottles or 4 packs, so i only buy it when i'm celebrating something, but it has the cleanest, freshest, most crisp beer taste i've ever had.
samuel smith also makes stouts and porters and ales if you prefer those. you could probably find it at larger liquor stores or nice markets like publix.
