No, Satan was a beautiful angel, he is the spirit creature that is the chief adversary of God, and of all who worship the true God. The name Satan was given to him becaus of his becoming a resister of God. Satan is also known as Devil which means slanderer, Satan is described as the original serpent, because of his using a serpent to deceive Eve, for this reason "serpent" came to signify 'deceiver' In the book of Revelation the symbolism of a devouring dragon is also applied to Satan. Satan at one time was a spirit son of God. When saying that the Devil 'did not stand fast inthe truth.' Jesus indicated that at one time that one was 'in the truth' John 8:44 But, as is true of all God's intellegent creatures Satan was endowed with free will. He abused his freedom of choice, and allowed feelings of self-importance to develop in his heart, and Satan began to crave worship that belonged only to God, and so enticed Eve and Adam to listen to him rather than obey God. Thus by his course of action he made himself Satan, which means 'adversary' James 1:14, 15

Satan is a fallen angel. So, no I don't believe what you have stated. I believe he still looks like an angel and is very charming and decieving. That is why so many will think he is great in the last days. He will be far from hideous.

No...I see Satan as an evil looking man that you could look in his eyes and no that he is not good...maybe wearing all black (however, I wear black alot and I ain't Satan) But I know he works through ordinary people just like God does...but you can tell by their spirit and actions whether they are of God or Satan

No one can speak for all Christians. This Christian believes that Satan is the symbolic representation of evil - that which separates us from our creator, from our potential, from our best. The image you described can be distracting, as we must guard against evil in all its forms, especially those that appear benign, and even attractive.

Actually the Bible says he comes as an Angel of Light. So I think he appears beautiful to whomever sees him. And what he actually looks like depends on their definition of beauty.

He probably has the ability to take whatever form he desires; after all some interpretations of the Garden of Eden scene attribute him to the serpent.
