If you eat fast food all the time, then no walking won't really help since you are eating more calories than you are burning. Walking does help, but you might want to try a light jog, if you can. That will increase your heartrate and burn more calories than walking.
Also, if you eat less, and eat more healthy foods, this will also help.
Also, try increasing your time, or do it twice a day, this will help too.
Cutting coke out, that is a good start, drink lots of water.

Hey there. You can safely lose about 8 pounds a month. But that means actually making a real change in your diet, a change that will sustain you for life. you don't want to be ill prepared for life, do you? Sure you can lose 30 pounds on a shake diet, but can you drink shakes forever? No. So, be serious about the food, and the intake. Really, you need about an hour to work out. Stretches for ten minutes, jogging, some weights, cool down etc. I think if you did 30-45 of the running and walking, then did 15 of some weights, then you'll be good.

From my experience, excercising is not going help in order to lose weight. I lost 30lbs from eating less, without any excercising at all. Go to the gym once and try a treadmill. You are not burning as much calories as you think. When I go to on a treadmill, I burn about 200 calories in 30 min...which is so little for a lot of hard work. On the other hand, food we eat contain a lot more calories than we think. If we can cut back a portion of what we eat, it'll make a big difference. I suggest you to eat about half of what you eat right now...

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Join the club i do the same as you but i jog and my eating habits have changed, i eat healthy, low calorie, low carb foods now and its working superbly, I wouldnt bother weighing yourself after the 1st week as your body needs to adapt to the change, plus you may weigh heavier or stay the same in the 1st week due to fat turning into muscle, try it for 2 weeks then weigh yourself and there should be a change. Its all about the calorie intake you have, if you have less than your daily allowance, which is around 2000 calories for a woman then you will lose weight, but its important to go to the doctors to see what your metabolism rate is to determine the amount of calories for your daily allowance.

Yes it will help, but you NEED to watch what you eat. I lost 40 lbs. in 2 months, but I was riding my bike 40 miles a day and just eating alot of friut and veggies. You will be hungry more often which is where discipline comes in. For lunch I ate sandwiches and low salt chips. Ok carbs, definetly lowfat. You have to keep exercising though. Very key!! And don't forget the protein.

If you were maintaining your current weight before you started walking, then yes, you should lose, but slowly. If your weight was increasing, then you might be just slowing your weight gain. The key is to burn more calories than you consume. Whether you do that by exercise, diet, or both, is up to you.

Cutting the regular Coke might help more. Keep walking. It's good for you! The trouble with exercise is that we tend to "reward" ourselves with more food or treats, making the excuse, "Oh, I can have such n' such since I did xx miles on the treadmill today."
Try tracking what you eat. Good Luck and keep up the good effort!

Just exercise alone won't help you to lose weight. You do need to watch what you eat. Also your body needs the correct balance of protein & carbs and nutrition for you to burn body fat.
Try having a free wellness evaluation from a1diet.net - they can work out your personal calorie and protein requirements.

depending on what your body fat percentage is you may need to do more than that. walking for 1 hour in the am and 1 hour at night would be better. that along with changing your eating habits will greatly increase your insulin sensitivity which is the key to losing fat and increasing lean body mass...
