Are you being serious or sarcastic?

Well, if you are serious .... "to" is a preposition and you use it "to" explain you are going "to" the store ... "to" the game ... "to" a show .. "to" somewhere or you are just going "to" do something ...

on the other hand

"too" also pronounced exactly the same means also ... and you use it in response to someones opinion or comment when you agree or have also done or thought the same thing .... i.e. I ate cheese cake last night too.... or i like movies too .... or i think so too ....etc ..

"too" can also mean as in the expample ..... i ate "too" much cheese cake ... which would give it an over indulgent meaning .... which literaly translated means the person eat so much cheese cake that maybe they felt ill .... or they were on a diet and they ate more than they were suppose to eat ....

the idiom in this sentence ...."Its way too much, man!" means something is way out there or its kool ... but it has to be interupted with the context of the rest of the conversation ....

I hope this helps ..
