It is referring to Christ as the passover lamb. The lamb which is sacrificed on passover. So that we will be spared.
Since Jesus was crucified during the passover week, it is only appropriate. God called the people to sacrifice the lamb and mark their doors with the blood so he would know who were his followers and would be spared. So yes, Christ is our Passover Lamb, He is our sacrifice for our sake.
