First of all you have the rules of seduction bass ackwards. Its the woman's job to get your attention and its your job to react. Do you ever catch her flirting. Looking and glancing away. A shy smile every now and then. Always wanting to be near you in a subtle way. If none of the above apply than you do not interest her. If you catch her eyes for a sec give her a pleasant smile. Watch her reaction. On the other hand if you have been in the same class a whole semester and she has never even looked in your general direction, don't waste your time.

A smile is always a good start. When you talk to her, make sure to smile and lean into her while the conversation is going. Make eye contact. Just general signs of interest. I would think that a 'no' sign would just be acting uninterested and non-chalant, but you don't seem to have a problem there.
