Roasted in the oven:
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon water
4 ears corn on the cob, shucked
1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Tear off 4 (12-inch-square) sheets of heavy-duty foil.
2. In a shallow bowl, combine the cilantro, lime juice, oil, and water. Roll the corn in the cilantro oil, then place on the foil; brush with any remaining cilantro oil. Wrap the foil around the corn securely, then place directly on an oven rack. Bake, turning occasionally, until tender, about
25 minutes.

First of all i Suggest you put a hole on either side of the cob (in the center of the inside part; that way it's easier to eat because you can put in two rods to hold it!
Boil some water in a pan on the hob until the tiny little bubbles start coming up the side, then put the corn in (without the leaves) and set your timer for 8 mins.
After about 4 mins, turn the corn so that the other side is facing the water; that way it is evenly cooked.
Don't add any oil or salt to cooking, there's no point.
Put the rods in either end if you have some (if you don't, don't worry) and then add some butter on the top and enjoy!

I like to just remove all but the last layer of husks and then put the corn in the microwave between two wet paper towels. I think I microwave them for 3 minutes per cob (or until the kernels are soft to the touch). They will be hot when you go to test them, so be careful! Cooking them this way, though, saves you the trouble of boiling a big pot of water and all that stuff. Easy cleanup, too.

In the microwave or on the stove top.
Boil or steam it.
Cover it in water and poke with fork to check when cooked.
It should take between 5 and 10 minutes for a few cobs of corn.

Boil a large pot of water. When it is at a rolling boil add your ears of corn. Only boil for aabout 5 to 7 minutes. Do not over cook or it will be tough. Also add salt to the water before you add the corn.

Drop it in boiling water for about a minute. Dont over cook it. Or I like to peel back they husk(dont remove!) and take out all the silk. Then add a little salt and pepper then pull the husk back up and grill it on the BBQ. Good stuff.

remove husks and threads, rinse. then place in a pot of boiling water. boil uncovered for about 15-20 minutes. You can check it for doneness with a fork, poke with fork to see if kernels are tender. Remove and serve as you normally would.

This might sound stupid, but I promise it works. You can boil it if you want, but I suggest grilling it in the husk, and then peel the husk and eat.
Or husk it, and wrap it in 2 paper towels and nuke it for 1 minute. Works every time.
