Believe it or not, cover the rim of your pan with foil, in about 2 inches, the same with pie crust that gets to brown to fast

Try using a glass baking pan. Take an old towel or cloth and cut a strip to make a band around the outside of the pan. Wet the cloth, wrap it around the pan, and safety pin it in place. Bake the brownies at 350 for the prescribed time and they should turn out more moist.

I know my recipe says to watch for the edges to pull away from the pan. When that starts, they are done. Mine bake at 325 and I use a greased and floured 8" non-stick square pan. I've never had any trouble.

Use a smaller pan, that will keep the brownies thicker. Also, use a round cake pan instead of one w/ 4 corners. And double-check your oven temp w/ a separate thermometer. It may be set correctly, but is actaully running at a higher temp.
