It means the freedom to acquire proper and pertinent information in which you have the right to. Like when you are hospitalized, you are entitled to know all the proper information related to your sickness.

It means you can get any free information or give free information to/from anyone as long as it is true. And not private. Like a doctors information on a patient. Lawyers information.
