There are no ghettoes in Israel.

There are no fundamentalists among the Jews in Israel. There may be some fundamentalist Christians. Fundamentalism is a movement in 20th century Protestantism emphasizing the literally interpreted Bible as fundamental to Christian life and teaching

The term refers to people who take the bible word for word as it is written. Judaism has never done such a thing. We understand the bible as including both the written Torah and the Oral Torah.

Well, there are definitely some slummy parts, and maybe some would say there are ghettoes, but most people would say not. I guess it depends on how one defines "ghetto."

And yes, there are some of what one might call "fundamentalist" Jews, as the phrase is popularly, but perhaps inaccurately, known. The term "fundamentalist" seems to be generally applied to anyone of any religion who takes their faith seriously, and adheres to some traditional form of practice and interpretation. Yes, this is a perjorative phrase in popular culture, but there you go.

Fundamentalist Christians in Israel? Some as tourists, certainly, but residents, I really don't think so.

But I'm not sure there are "fundamentalist ghettoes"... maybe Meah Shearim? Bnei Brak?
