You have 2 options. The first is to put the DVD in your drive and do an upgrade. This will upgrade your OS and all of your programs and data will be available at the end of the process.

The second way is to boot up with the DVD in your drive and do a clean install. This will erase all of the data on your computer and install Vista from scratch. This is the best method in my opinion, but you will have to install all of your programs again.

Whatever you choose, ENSURE that you backup all of your data and have ALL of your program CDs available. IF something happens, you will need them. Also download the vista drivers for your hardware BEFORE you install Vista. This will save you many hours of headaches.

If you are asking where you can download Vista, you can't. You have to purchase it.

If you have a Vista CD and you are asking how to install it, but it into your CD drive and reboot the computer. The Vista install should start automatically.
