Do you want her to be in your life again? You need to ask yourself that question first. If the answer is yes, then proceed with caution. Maybe she's had a change of heart or is trying to reach out to you as a friend, but is too afraid to call so she opted for texting. Its hard to tell you if she's just being nice or if she wants to be a part of your life--but I think if you asked her that would be a good starting point.

Seems like she misses you and wanted things to be less "weird" but it's still uncomfortable for her. If you want to get back together with her, and you don't think the issues that broke you up in the first place are going to come into play again, now's your chance. She might be more open to establishing something with you. Just don't expect too much too fast... think of it as an opportunity for a do-over. Either way, you could at least have her back in your life... either as a very good friend or possibly something more. Take your time though... good luck!

Well it's possible but I'm not sure. Most woman want to stay in touch with there "X" unless it ended bad. For woman itis hard to let go so it's possible she could still be holding on and maybe since it was your birthday that was a good excuse for her to talk to you. If she's in another relationship there is a chance she just might want to be friends but if she's not in a realtionship it's possible she still has feelings for you. It's kinda hard to tell .Just ask her because more then likely ske'll tell you the truth.

She sounds like she was just being nice... Dont let your guard down, keep in mind why you 2 broke up!!! She might want to be friends but from my experience its very hard to be friends with someone that you have been with and for so long, Good luck!!!

Does she have a current boyfriend? She might just be "using" you to fill the time in between boyfriends....Or, she is just trying to string you along, so you keep thinking she wants u back. Why would you want to torture yourself like that? You can be friendly towards her, but sounds like you should move on with your life, and find someone who is worthy of your affection. Good Luck!!!

best way is just to ask her if she wants to go out with u, nothing big, no talk about the past or anything just ask her out, if she accepts than u can count on it that she has idea's about u. it is always a possibility if the breakup was amicable and not bad. just take it slow though don't set yourself up for hurt just one step at a time.

Shaun,

Sometimes women realize things much much later. Maybe she's realized that you were indeed a great guy for her, and she regrets facilitating a breakup. So keep your guard up. You don't want to be hurt again now do you?

Good luck and God bless.

What do you want? If you want to get back with her you've got be a little vulnerable and maybe ask her. keeping your guard up will keep her and others away. If she doesn't then you know where you stand and then you can work at letting her go

Sounds like she's just being nice. Don't read into it, unless she comes right out and says she wants to talk.
