PATIENTS GRASSHOPPER. Cats are stubborn. First you "earn" they're respect; all else follows. Just ask my Stimpy.

To learn to be a cat first you must be 1 with the cat. Have you become 1 with the cat yet? NO? Well go do that then I will give you the next step. :Remember think like a cat/be a cat!

Generally, as a small child, you will experience a moment when an adult points at the feline creature and says "cat" which you repeat until you associate the new word with the animal. Often this is accompanied by "what does the cat say? meaow"

Unless, of course, you mean "teach" in which case, I have no idea.

Sorry to be pedantic!

I don't think it's possible to learn to be a cat. Cats are just naturally born to be that way. Br happy as you are.

Kevin...you can't. A cat is a really discerning animal! All you can do is wait..let the cat accept you, make the first gesture...usually jumping into your lap. After that, its all downhill!
