I am not on the loan but will I be responsible to pay? She says shes not going to pay and let them put it in collections.

If you can, you should pay it. It might have ramifications to you in your military career.
I doubt that she would be able to even get into THAT credit union without you. It could be a thing that YOU are responsible much like when a dependent does something at the px/bx and YOU get the information about it from your commander. Like it or not the military is held to a higher standard.
This could and WILL effect (affect?) your security clearance if you have one or want to get one.
you might not be responsible directly but you will probably suffer for it.
For example,
What about when she wants a car. IF you don't already own a house, I hope you aren't planning to get one
as long as you are married to her I believe that this will haunt you.
p.s. what did you see in this woman? This kind of behavior really shows up as an aberration (Takes money and REFUSES to pay it back) Doesn't sound like the characteristics of a good wife and mother!
This speaks volumes about how she honors her commitments!
