My water broke when I rolled over in bed...I swear i heard a POP! Anyway, I really never had any contractions...just a few a few hours later... 10 hours after the water broke I had a c-section...so yes it is possible to have the water break with no contractions right away.

you can be leaking fluid. Everybody is different so the time between water breaking and contraction varies. With my first daughter my water broke and 15 min later I started having contraction. With my second daughter my water broke and i started having contractions a half hour later and with my last daughter my water broke and I didnt start having contraction until 4 hours later. You have to call your doctor if you think you are leaking fluids.

first of all Call the doctor...second of all did you see the mucus plug come out (about 4in long and looks like a broken rubber-band)? contractions do start with the water breaking. but then again you can be like me and have contractions and the doctor to break the water for you

Yes. It could. Call your doctor. They can do tests to see if it is your water. It could also be urine. I had a small leak at 24 weeks with my last baby and felt the same way. Better to be safe then sorry. Good luck and congrats!!

it could just be the pressure of the baby on your bladder making it seam like that is what is going on. but if you think your water has broken you need to go to the hospital to be checked and to avoid infection, after your water breaks you are more prone to infection
