I believe that if we end up living in caves to survive the sun that technology will not save us. Neither will our medicine. We will again become cave men and women because we will be so close to the sun or our ozone will be so damaged when we step outside we will be burnt. It is coming and using fossil fuel will only make it worse. And yet everyone is so dependent upon it that in a sense we are killing ourselves. Anyone ever seen the day after tomorrow? Well that is what we have to look forward to. Another ice age or so much heat that skin cancer is caused by steeping outside of your house. We will not survive just because we believe we will or because we a re humans and have before. We will survive only if we band together and make change. But humans are greddy and foolish and would rather fight wars than help each other. A peaceful eco-friendly world is impossible. So how are we to survive?

You gotta remember our sun only has about 5 billion years left. Once it becomes red giant the planet will no longer be habitable. I bring this up because if technology isn't advanced enough by then to terraform other planets and moons then there is an end in sight to mankind. However, mankind is highly adaptable and resilient and proven itself to survive the black death and many other disasters.

The problems with man's destruction of the environment will be addressed in the future, after our lifetimes. The government will take action with the people fully behind them. Mankind will survive.

Look for a solution ,and create a bright future. The fossil fuels are not the problem. Mother nature is recycling them as we speak.

stack all the world nukes on the side of the earth that's toward the sun and blow the earth further out in space...easy... we have the technology.. we have the nukes... what's the problem?

You got it right... earth moving closer to the sun... NOT some pie-eyed man caused atmospheric crap... happens every 120,000 years (Vostok ice core studies).
