Certainly not, and with other brands like SanDisk you can even choose between different qualities, which work faster than a basic SD card, but are also more expensive.
Don't buy more or larger cards than you absolutely need. Prices are falling quickly, in a year's time you may get cards for half the price you would pay now.

No, it could be from SanDisk, Kingston or whatever company, don't listen to all those promoters sayin that you have to get the Kodak SD card for you Kodak Digital Camera, they are just trying to promote their item...

A non Kodak card will work ,although you may have to format the card to your camera ,the manual will show you how.

No, any SD card will do, Sandisk are one of the main marks but there are dozens to chose from, just check your instruction book to see if there is a limit to what size you can use.

No, They all use the same technology.
Also, buy it on ebay from an ebay shop. Loads cheaper.
Also, go for the biggest possible and then decsent video should be possible, because you will be able to set a higher resulution.

dont buy any flash media from eaby there are allot of fakes going about that either fail to work or break after periods of time. Pay a little bit extra and get it from a proper retailer
