it is true that all religions are branches of same tree but the root is only a faith which warns us about what is good and what is bad. in a potters shop, we may see many kinds of vessels, pots etc. but all are made up of the same clay. so also all religions

Francis Bacon did not have the knowledge of religions not based on fear of death. There are religions that don't care about an afterlife and have no version of heaven and hell. There are religions who seek only to explain the feeling that humans have that life is more than the sum of its parts. Religions cannot be lumped in that way. The Druids believed that all religions were one religion and that each person meets the universe in their own way. That was a beautiful sentiment but it didn't save them from the marauding Christian Romans who came and slaughtered them and murdered their sacred groves. Without the antagonism born of the idea that "we are right and you are wrong" all religions can be brothes and friends, but that would mean that everyone would have to accept the fact that we may be wrong and they may be right, or we could all just be trying our best. Wish that would happen.

No.

Francis Bacon may have been witty, similar to Mark Twain, but ignorrant himself.(themselves)

I would assume then that this Francis Bacon (whoever he is) was an idiot.
The root of my relationship with God is Jesus Christ.....and yes....a reverential fear of the Lord.

I agree.

All religions began because of the sponsoring thought that there is something punishing us everytime natural disasters or death occurred.

All religious belief and dogma sprang from that primordial human thought...

This is the knee jerk appearance from outside looking in. The truth is that many faiths are as different as apples and oranges. Christianity and Islam are spiritually opposed to one another. Like oil and water.

I would say rather that the root is awe, wonder, the sense of mystery, and the hunger for knowledge.

It is not true. Fancy double talk that tickles the ears of those lost in ignorance.

that statement is completely false concerning Christianity.
Christianity is of one tree, that belonging to Jesus Christ.
all other beliefs and religions are false and are of Satan's tree, and Bacon's observance does apply in that regard.
