I did two trials not long after I left Uni with no problems whatsoever.

One was to test a mixture of three drugs taken together - three sets of one week spent in their 'hospital', for £2000 and the other was just to eat loads of hamburgers for a week to see just how damaging it was - increases in cholesterol etc.

These things are incredibly closely monitored and you are given a very thorough health check before you start. I'd do it again.

I've been in two trials. The first time I did it, I only took 1 dose each of two different medications. I had to keep a day long diary about how I felt. Very easy - made $50. I am currently in a test for a second vaccine to prevent STD induced cervical cancer. I've had 3 shots over the past year. I had to keep a diary about temp, pain at injection site, etc. I also get GYN tests every 6 months. I'll be in the study for 4 years total. I get $40 a visit.

My advice - just make sure you know what you are getting into. Don't take the information given too lightly. I feel good about the tests I've done. I will definitely consider getting involved in more but I won't say yes to just anything.

Its definitely worth it.
I've done about 15 trials. The first few I can't remember because it was a drug for memory loss but it was well worth the tenner. After a while I felt I should ask for more money because the dogs at the animal shelter were making 15 quid and getting free room and board.
A man in a white coat offered me fifty quid to stick his prick in me. It was a short needle and I suffered some pain at the injection site. After that I knew I was on a real money maker so I gave up my job and went full time. I now make ninety quid a week. The only real regret I have is the loss of feeling in my hands, the fact that I have gone blind and and some incontinence. But hey, the ninety quid a week easily pays for the nappies

Think twice and then 10 times more.

Some people were made very seriously ill in England about a year ago.
