i dont know but i enjoy them very much too! the people crack me up, i especially love the ones with web cams so you can peek into peoples lives.

You can be anyone you want to be. Its a little like make believe when you were a kid.
You can chat / flirt / talk about your problems- the people talking to you don't know you and therefore it feels safe I suppose.
Its also a bit like a first date with someone too.
I should shut up now before I make myself look a freak with loads of emotional issues and no friends. !!! of course I'm not but you will never know if this is the truth or not.

just chatting in general online can watch hours fly by. Not really been one for chat rooms but chatting on messenger is good and I think you just disappear into another world and it's amazing how addictive it can be. Spending hours online without realising it.
Just be aware of how many strange people you may talk to and have fun.
