I have been seeing this guy for 6 months and Valentine's Day is upon us. I recently found out through conversation with him that he doesn't "celebrate" this holiday...even when he was married. Unlike him, I do. I have always gotten and given something on this particular holiday. At first I was a little upset knowing that I wasn't going to receive anything but then realized that's just who he is...it has nothing to do with me. But should I still get him something?

I bet his other girlfriends get nice things! He's probaly short on funds, so you were the odd woman out, that gets NOTHING! So if you are one of those people who is more into recieving than giving, its time for a new boyfriend! It's hard to believe, you being a stripper, and meet a cheapskate like this. hmmmm call it bad luck? p.s. thanks for the question, i never thought of telling my girl i dont celebrate Valentines! I think i'll tell her i dont celebrate Christmas or Birthday's!! can you say MO MONEY!

I think it would be nice if you did get him something. But I think that first you should sit down with him and ask him why he doesn't celebrate it and also tell him that you do and it's important to you. He may not celebrate it and you should respect him, yes, but at the same time you DO celebrate it and shouldn't be respect that?
