Hiccups are completely normal for a puppy to have hiccups off and on throughout the day.
Hiccups sometimes start after eating a meal, but can occur at any time and last for up to several minutes.
A hiccup is defined as a non-controllable spasmodic contraction of the diaphragm, causing a beginning inspiration of air that is suddenly stopped by closure of the glottis. The diaphragm is a muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. It enables the lungs to bring in air during inspiration. When the diaphragm contracts, the air is quickly drawn in, but the glottis, a part of the "voice box," suddenly cuts it off.
Puppy hiccups will come and go. Eventually puppies grow out of them.

I have a 4 month old boxer puppy. Destiny Von does the same thing for me. It doesn't last long, I just rub her back for a few minutes than it quiet the hiccups. She still does have the hiccups but not as often. When she sleeps she snores, then swallows too much air, that is what starts her hiccups.Sometimes they become anxious also which will start the hiccups. Just try to sooth your puppy see if it works. You can ask your vet about it also if nothing works,Water never did it for mine, she would spit it up, make it worse.Believe me it will get better.

Sorry yet, an 11 week old boxer and a three three hundred and sixty 5 days old son at the instantaneous are not good companions, often. both choose especially complete time interest and discipline. you've were given a lengthy street ahead of you. As to the biting human beings, make your hand right into a fist and allow him attempt to chew it. For some reason, dogs don't love biting fists a lot. you are able to also placed something like bitter apple on your palms, arm (be certain you retain on with the guidelines on the bottle). finally, do not enable your son to be on my own with that dogs. Crate practice the dogs and be sure your son learns to word of the dogs's barriers. For destiny reference, an older rescue dogs can be a great significant different to a baby (see you later as its heritage is commonplace). also, doggy practise for socialization and doggy play dates may take countless the potential out of the little sucker and shop him happier.

Well that is over all normal for young dogs. But I would ask your vet if he is always doing it to the point that he is doing it quite often. I am not saying this is it but i may b that he has some breathing problems. or he may have something wrong with his nose because boxers are like pugs they have short noses so some times if needed they will have to stasate them and open up there nasial cavity and then they will be good as new. Also like I said in the begining it could be that he is just growing and thats it I hop this helps

The same has been happening with my jack russell puppy but I have noticed that when he sleeps or is resting he likes to be under his blanket, I think he is not getting enough oxygen which gives him hiccups. When he is sleeping, I move him out from under the blanket and he has stopped.

My vet said that was completely normal in puppies. They are growing so fast and all. He gave the puppy a complete check and said there was nothing to worry about. Just mention it at your next appointment but it's most likely nothing to worry about. Good luck.

if you are worried phone your vet, or contact the breeder you got him from. A good breeder won't mind you phoning and asking at the end of the day that is what they are there for as well
