Poland and Lithuania. Lithuania is my personal preference, but it can be somewhat lively (only in a friendly way though) and feel far more "eastern". Poland is the best bet if you're completely new to Eastern Europe and don't want to go to the part where most tourists do (Prague and Czech Republic in general), mainly because it's beautiful, and the people are very friendly. Warsaw is a waste of time, however, stick to Krakow or my personal favourite, Gdansk. Warsaw was razed to the ground in WW2 and didn't make as fantastic a job as Berlin (which is the best city in Europe) in rebuilding itself.

Poland would be the safest and probably better bet. From what I have seen or read from people that are actually from Poland, it is a nice place. It is kind of life the western european countries. As for worse, Serbia. Stay far away from that country. Serbia is by far one of the more dangerous nations for Westerners particularly Americans to visit. Seeing as America did bomb them for,,, well for a while. However a lot of other countries did also, making this one of the few places where being a Canadian, or an Italian, or basically anyone else is no excuse whatsoever

this question pops up right here many times lower back! it would be exciting to be certain the place people get this recommendation on "Russian Neo Nazis", etc.! the fact is that besides the indisputable fact which you will likely discover that style of scum everywhere interior the worldwide, it is not any further problematic in Russia than in the different ecu u . s .. i'd be shocked in case you would be waiting to discover some "Neo-Nazis" in Moscow despite in case you regarded genuine complicated. it is not some thing you will see that on the streets. Moscow is fool of blended race people, and the final attitude is that folk truly do no longer care what race you're. If Moscow can tolerate a nudist gay parade on its important highway, truthfully purely blended race all people is risk-free.

I can't fully answer this but I can say I've just got back from Prague in the Czech Republic and can't recommend it enough. The people are nice, the city and countryside is stunning. Definitely worth a visit.
