If you ask a "professed Christaian,"who is God, thy'll tell you Jesus but Jesus specifically came to the earth to teach people to worship Jehovah(God's name at Ps:83:18) alone according to Isiah4:8 which says its God alone you should render sacred service and ther is another scripture in which Jesus said it is to Jehovah you should worship with your whole, heart, mind and soul! So when people praise Jesus instead of God are they not misrepresenting and corrupting WHAT JESUS PREACHED ABOUT! SO why do few people know about Jehovah?

Jehovah's Witnesses fully understand and agree that Jesus Christ the Son (who is much more than a mere angel) deserves and receives what some might call "worship", but only when the English-language word "worship" has been properly defined. The obeisance and honors due the Christ should remain unambiguously subject to the "exclusive devotion" which is owed to the Father, Jehovah God.

(Deuteronomy 5:6-9) I am Jehovah your God... You must never have any other gods against my face. 8 “‘You must not make for yourself a carved image, any form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 9 You must not bow down to them or be led to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion

Jehovah the Father specifically directs that Jesus the Son receive the honors described at Hebrews 1:6. What human or angel would resist the Almighty Jehovah? Interestingly, the verses immediately before that show that Jesus is at God's right hand and has *BECOME* better than the angels.

(Hebrews 1:6) [God] says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him [Jesus].”

(Hebrews 1:3-4) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. 4 So he has become better than the angels

Many books of the bible describe Jesus as God's King; the title "King of Kings" denotes a kingship far superior to that of any human king. From where does Christ's authority come?

(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.

(Acts 2:36) God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.

(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

(Acts 5:31) God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand

(Psalm 2:2-6) The kings of earth take their stand And high officials themselves have massed together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one... Jehovah himself will hold them in derision..., Saying: “I, even I, have installed my king [Jesus]

So many bible concepts become far more clear when one finally recognizes that God the Father and Jesus the Son are two different, distinct persons and the Son is subject to the Father.

Everyone has their own way of interpreting the bible. There are so many loop holes that people try to fill in so that they can worship God and feel that they are doing the right thing by him.Who is to say that your way is the right way...Allah is the name of the Muslim God. Their faith is very strong...doesn't make them right, but it's right for them. You think that the whole world will be preached to, and then the end will come. When Gods will has been done on earth.(Which is the preaching work according to you)...then he will bring forth Armageddon, when EVERYONE has heard the message. Yet your question clearly asks....Why do few people know about Jehovah? Maybe because Jehovah's Witnesses aren't a big enough organization to get the preaching work done EVERY where. I have people in my own little town that have never had a Witness knock on their door, yet the warning will be world wide???? Come on now. People haven't heard of Jehovah as much as they have heard about Jesus. Every Christian faith, right or wrong has faith in Jesus. Because his name is known world wide. So, in closing...if Jehovah is the God that you worship, that's great. But realize that there are other people all over this world that have their own way of serving....and their faith is just as strong as yours.

i'm no longer JW, yet i've got self assurance plenty the comparable way that they do approximately Christ and God, so i will supply it a shot. try Matt. 3:17- Why would God's voice be heard if Christ is a factor of God? Acts 7:fifty 5-fifty six- Christ status on the suited hand of God. in the event that they have been the comparable, Stephen would have in basic terms seen one being. Mark 15:34- Why would God would desire to cry out to himself? Or a extra acceptable question: Why would God would desire to desert Himself at a time of great suffering? John 5:19- Talks approximately Christ gaining wisdom of what the daddy knows. does no longer He already are conscious of it in the event that they have been the comparable? John 8:28,fifty 4- the comparable as above on 28. He does no longer would desire to honor God if He became God. Matt 26:39 And he went somewhat further, and fell on his face, and prayed, announcing, O my Father, if that is achieveable, permit this cup pass from me: although no longer as i will, yet as thou wilt. lower back, why would He would desire to wish to God if He have been God? additionally, does no longer His would be no longer His very own if He have been God? there are various others, yet i will depart it at that.

Why do people worship God's son instead of God himself?

Because people prefer to listen to a pagan sun worshipper, "Roman Emperor Constantine” as they’re religious leader rather then Jesus.

It is pretty difficult for Jesus to be his father since his father created him. Colossians 1:15 - He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

I am LDS, and in my religion we believe that God the Father, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are all seperate beings. However, the scriptures that always talk about them being one person means that they are all one in their goals and desires. They all desire for us to return unto them. It says in the Doctrine and Covenants that god the father is made of flesh and bones as tangible as man's, the son's also, and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit so that he may reside in each of us.

Whenever you pray you are supposed to pray to God the Father, and close in Christ's name. I have a story if any of you care. It is about how my brother who is seven was really sick. He kept getting a higher and higher fever. I remembered hearing somewhere that if someone's fever gets over 105 than it can cause brain damage. I didn't know what to do because the last time we checked it was 104.8. I was struggling w/ my testimony at this time and the only thing I could do to help was to ask god for help. I remembered reading in the scriptures about a man named Enos who prayed for a whole day and a night for forgiveness, and in the morning god spoke to him and told him that he was forgiven. I knew that I would have to try and save my brother life so I prayed like there was no tommorrow w/ him. I cried and prayed and cried and prayed until about three in the morning when I had an overpowering feeling that everything was going to be all right. I knew that he would be fine. I was exhausted, but happy! The next morning his fever went down to 100 and I have never been so happy in my life.

I'm sorry if this doesn't really answer your question, but I hoped it helped to show you the power of what prayer can do!

As I understand Jesus wanted people to worship God not himself

Jesus Answered this question himself when he gave the illustration of the man who sowed fine seed and his enemy sowed weeds in his field. The wheat was obscured by the weeds, thus they had to wait until harvest to sort them out. Same falls true with Jesus' teachings. His fine teachings, the wheat, is obscured by false religious teachings, the weeds. So people today in order to find the wheat have to sort through the weeds.

A few of these false teaching's never mentioned in the Bible include:

The Trinity
The Rapture
An Immortal Soul

The list goes on but I'm sure I've already upset enough people.

And this is why you'll call Jesus the son of God but not God the Son. However this is not at all what the Bible teaches about His co-equality with the Father. Since this is outside of basic, mainstream Christian beliefs, I'll simply urge you to take a look at some apologetics sites that address this issue. If you won't be convinced, then at least I haven't wasted my time trying to convince you myself.

Its the same really, only diferent. When worshiping Jesus you are also worshiping God and his kindness in giving his only son to redeem us from our sins (aparrently that was the going price of innocence at the time, don't ask me why, I'd have settled for a polite apologie request, but with god it has always been about blood).

Well, also, I like the son better

The answer is in both Matthew 15:14 and in 2 Corinthians 4:4.

Matthew 15:14 - "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."

2 Corinthians 4:4 - "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
