Lately I've had very irregular sleep pattern, i.e. one night I might go to bed at 11 PM and wake up at 8 AM (which is normal) and other ties I might go to bed at 4-5-6 even 7! AM and of course sleep till afternoon. I also tend to sleep too much (I feel best after 9-10 hours of sleep, which is really too much for a grown up) Can it be like an 'inborn' characteristic or I should try to sleep less and wake up even if I don't feel like I've had enough?

Any comments?

Tnx!

Yes, depression is involved....

But how do you force yourself to do thigs when you don't feel like doing anything... Oh well I guess I'll have to come up with something/anything myslef...

But today I feel like sh** and the weather is horrible, and I have headache...and above all I should force myself to 'lighten up'..Kinda frustrating...

Unless this is messing with your life I don't see the problem. Every one needs to do what it takes to live life the best they can. The whole 11 PM and wake up at 8 AM thing works for most people. I go to bed between 10:30 and 1:30 then wake up between 5:00 and 7:00. Just do what do what works for you.

I'd get your hormons tested, thyroid, fsh, and insulin to rule out any health issues. It could be an inborn characteristic. For instance no matter what I do I seem to need a mid morning or mid afternoon nap. My mom has always been the same way.

If you have no reason to sleep that much (if you don't get tired by your job or sth) then you are probably depressed...
Check it out with someone professional.
Don't be afraid it will only do you good.
