I'm 24, and I think true love does exist. I think that there is someone out there for everyone, but I think there is some luck involved too. What scares me is if there is only 1 person out there for me, what if she settled for the wrong person and got married before I even met her? Or maybe I met her when I was dating someone else and missed my chance. Plus the way people move around and travel now a days, I'm just afraid I'm going to miss my opportunity at happiness, or even worse I already missed it.
I think I worry about it too much, but it is also still something to think about. Especially with the divorce rate that you mentioned, something isn't working out for a lot of couples.

You can get married forever if you work at it. It doesn't just happen without a lot of compromise. Many second marriages last 30 years while the first only 3 years after all the stork has left off the babies.

Hi Lynn,
Yes true love still exists! just be patient He/She will come and you will know, this person may be in your life right now and you probably haven't even giving it a thought. love works in mysterious ways. I've known my husband four years before we got married and we've been together for seven years and counting. we met when we were 22 . Sooo don't give up,true love has it's own time of coming around to you P>S never give up

Yes it surely does! People do last forever... if you 're with someone and you just have that special feeling that you believe will never go away...then go for it! Alot of people marry for the wrong reasons, and its not always out of love for each other...maybe for a child, money, benefits, etc....
which leads to the big D word....
But yes, it is out there and many people have found their true love! You just have to wait for it to come...eventually it will!

Sometimes I too question true love...
But I think it does exist cause I love my boyfriend with all my heart and soul... unconditionally..I would be with him no matter what...
I'm passionate about him...and want to be with him all my life...
What I feel for him is true love..
So it exists for me... but whether it exists for him.. I dont know.
But if u want to get married one day and you want to try to make it last forever.. marry someone not just cause you love them but also look for personality traits of faithfulness, morals and commitment...
cause that helps a marriage last...

No, and I'm not picking on love because I don't think friendship exists either.
Nah, I'm kidding of course it does, it just takes more patience and understanding and commitment than most people are capable of or willing to put forth.

Nope, it sure doesn't. "Love" is just a word people use to describe it when the "mutual affection" they have for friends in their little cliques (Only) descends into physical lusting. "Love" only shows up in humans when it is convenient for it to do so. It is a *fairy tale* masquerading as an emotion.
It doesn't show up, objectively, for folks who aren't part of a clique. It especially doesn't show up for folks who are too poor, lonely, or have too many emotional issues to *be* a part of a clique.
Oh yeah, and BAH HUMBUG too! :p *rofl* =))

yes it does exist and its not "rushing" into marriage its allowing your relationship to fade away ---- you need to keep falling in love with each other --- make time for each other -- i thought the same way marriage is forever ---- i did not do those things and we broke up (after 30 years and 3 wonderful kids) ---- i know what i did wrong and will strive to apply them in my new relationship which i do expect to last for life ---- best wishes to you

It certainly does exist. True love is found in God, who is love. God binds and holds all things together, so if people don't have Him, they are missing the real joy found in God through His Son Jesus.
