You try to wake your partner up during the night or from a nap. They start thrashing, kicking, shoving, and hitting. They yell at you to leave them alone....when you do they are asleep again in seconds. They then naturally wake up hours later- remembering nothing and have no idea why you are upset and sore.

Is this a sleep disorder? Are there other symptoms? How can you treat this?

Help!
Thank you in advance!

It's a sleep disorder; what you need to do is take them to a clinic that studies sleep problems so that they can determine the exact cause of the trouble your partner is having. I saw something just like this on the discovery channel and if you're not careful you could end up dead. I'm not trying to scare you; but I saw a case in which a guy was strangling his wife in his sleep and when he woke up he was terrified to know he had done such a heinous act. Bottom line; have your partner see a professional sleep expert or neurologist or it could spell trouble in the future. I hope this helps and good luck.
