i had a baby dec 10th i have been having sharp pains in my overy/uterous areas for about 3 weeks now also spotting blood (on and off, mostly after sex and lasts a few days) and lots of discharge, doc did cultures and everything was fine, sono was done to rule out cysts. Anyone have any ideas? how eary can pregnancy be detected on sono? husband and i have been very cautious but im running out of causes..

BV - bacterial vaginosis.... doctor's have to preform a certain test for this bacteria... I included a link. This migt be it.

If you are a small women (under weight)
it is not unreasonable to feel some sort of pain for weeks or months after giving birth to a child.
your hip joints were almost completely separated by nature to allow this large package to exit the womb, all this from the little tinny passage way. it was stretched beyond anything you could ever imagine.
In conclusion if you didn't have some kind of discomfort after that trauma then i would be concerned, if i were you.
it is different for everyone just get as much rest as you can stay off your feet elevate your legs at night when you are sleeping and you will be fine. congratulations Mom.
