I'm a woodturner and I've made a tool out of A2 tool steel. I'd like to know how to harden it and anneal it. I also need to be able to use a shop torch if possible. Thanks!!

Heat to 1700-1800 degF
Air cool
Temper betwee 350-1000 degF
Hardness wil be between 57-62 Rockwell C

Hardening A2 Steel is not as easy as you think - the temperatures required have to be adhered to strictly and the process can take several hours.

I assume you understand how to heat treat steel, this website might give you some more information (see link)

A2 is a low-alloy air-hardening steel. Harden it with air.
DO NOT USE A SHOP TORCH!!!!!!

you must know chemical composition ot it then desive which kind of heat treatment for special purpose?
