Are you mad, worried, or jealous? If it was my friend I'd try to get them out of there before any teachers notice. Too bad it's winter (unless you in Oz) or you could just leave him somewhere outside.

The effects of dextromethorphan abuse vary with the amount taken. Common DXM effects can include confusion, dizziness, double or blurred vision, slurred speech, impaired physical coordination, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rapid heart beat, drowsiness, numbness of fingers and toes, and disorientation. DXM abusers describe different "plateaus" ranging from mild distortions of color and sound to visual hallucinations and "out-of-body," dissociative, sensations, and loss of motor control. While it might not kill him, it might just kill his liver. Liver transplants are expensive and many people die each year waiting for one.
If a person is taking a high enough amount of this, it begs the question of what else are they taking or willing to take and try? Drugs are not good to experiment with or to fool around with. I would tell someone... your school counselor, your principal, your teacher/professor. He needs help and is not in the state of mind to get it for himself. A good friend will take care of him, even if he gets mad at you later. Drugs are not to be messed with. They are dangerous.
Also, sometimes, people OD on drugs they know won't kill them, as a cry for help; like an attempted suicide. He needs to be evaluated for other underlying reasons in case he is bipolar, or has problems coping with life in general. Be a great friend and get him some help. One day he WILL thank you for it!

You can try talking to your friend about how that behavior is not good and that you are worried about him, but chances are, he won't care. You can only encourage him to get some help, but he has to want help before he will try and make any changes in his usage. You might consider telling the counselor about this before something bad happens to the guy. You might feel like a real rat but doing that may save this guy's life. Think about it!

Jajaja. That's great.
I'd just keep and eye on him, make sure it doesn't make him too sick. If he starts to go south, tell someone of importance. Otherwise, who cares? Let him have some fun, and don't ruin it.

I wouldn't wait for any side effects. Sounds to me like he has deeper problems that you no about. I would take him to a walk-in clinic, and get an evaluation. If he drops, you will feel guilty for years.
