FYI - I'm only looking for COST information. I've been on Zoloft and it's generic for years, and am extremely pleased with it. And yes, I've tried other meds; this is the best one by far for me. I'm merely worried that I may have insurance gap in the near future. Just trying to cover my financial bases.

Call the closest pharmacy. I can't remember the price off the top of my head, but it depends in the strength, the quantity and where you go.

I'm a pharmacy technician, the pharmacy won't have a problem getting a price for you. Just make sure you have all the info.

My son fell this weekend and did some damage to his knee. As a new mother, I wouldn't have even questioned it, we would have been headed to the ER immediately. They were out playing when it happened and my son never let on that there was a problem. The neighbor boy said it wasn't bad, cleaned it up and bandaged it. A couple of hours later, I took at look it, and pondered over whether a trip to the ER was necessary while he soaked in a warm tub. I made the decision not to go because he didn't seem to be in pain, it really didn't look that awful, and I hate the lengthy calls to get permission to go. I never know for sure who to call and they are always sending me to someone else no matter which one I call first. It would have been a $25 co pay. Today we are headed to the doctor's as the injury looks like it could infect easily. I'm also second guessing myself on that trip to the emergency clinic. We'll see. The co pay will be $12. Since I prefer my children not have antibiotics for simple colds, we rarely go to the clinic. It has nothing to do with cost, I just hate taking them out when I know that the nurse practitioner we see will tell me plenty of rest, lots of fluids and Tylenol or Motrin. If I feel a visit to the clinic is necessary, we go. My husband is retired military and we are covered under TriCare Prime.

Zoloft Price

hI:

Just wanted to tell you that if you were taking the brand ZOLOFT, switching to Sertraline, you can have nasty side effects. My insurance wants every prescription filled with generic, and I get the other medicines I take generic if they have the equivalent. When they changed the sertraline for the ZOLOFT, i thought I was going crazy. I had no idea they had changed the prescription, because the 100mg of sertraline looks just like the 100mg of ZOLOFT. And I could not tell the difference if it had not being because of the awful way I felt, and kept complaining to my doctor, and it was like all the sympthoms were coming back but with added strengh. Then the doctor told me about the switch, and decided to fight the insurance company, and won. They put me back in the ZOLOFT, and I am normal again.

JUST BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU TAKE IT.

I KNOW THE COMPANY PFIZER HAS PROGRAMS HELPING PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE INSURANCE. CALL THEM AND ASK, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET IT FROM THEM FOR LESS OR MAYBE NO MONEY AT ALL.

GOOD LUCK.

in the city I live in we have what is called "Family Health Clinic" they are a low-to-no cost clinic and if my son has something like a rash or something i'm unsure about I take him there for just $5.00. It beats my $25 co-pay for pediatrics

Wal-Mart has a $4 generic prescription program. When you drop your prescription off, just let them know that you want the generic brand. I do this for my Prozac. Good Luck.
