Sparky's on the right track, but the answer is really right there in your question. An 85 amp hour battery will do just that, deliver 85 amps for 1 hour......or 1 amp for 85 hours. The greater the load, the shorter the duration.

Depends on the load.

Take 1/10 of the amp hours, 8.5, and you come up with how many amps it will "give-up" per hour in the real world under full load.
