some title, why do you never put the full title of darwin's theory I am sure no school would ever print the full title but they have to know the theory darwinism was trying to prove.
His original plane was to try and prove the superiority of the Caucasoid race. Categorizing races by there evolutionary development, trying to prove the Negroid and Asiatic races as the closest to the ape. So to follow his teaching you are a self admitting bigot and racist. So therefor trying to push racism in our schools, your religion of hatred and bigotry no?

I can ask the same question Smarty Pants.
Have any of you actually studied the Bible or even read it before you make inflammatory staments about something you know nothing about. When YOU have studied the Bible then we can talk.

Lucky Darwinism has never been proven correct, evolution being unable to account for the myriad complex organisms today, most particularly the fiendishly complex structure of DNA.

Many KKK people believe white man is superior and God is white. The fact we are diverse makes the human experience just more wonderful not the funnel of "superior" somebody. I'm better with logic, you are better with music (not that any genetic fingerprint has been found), so what? Do you know that statistically, there's a bigger difference between two members of the same ethnic group, then between two individuals of different ethnic groups? Take that KKK.

Isaac Newton is an unbelievable towering figure in World Culture. As a child he would not have survived in a hunter gatherer culture. Did you know that? He was born a weakling, and BTW he hated women so he didn't reproduce. His heritage will be with us until Armageddon.

Even if what you say is correct, which I must say say is problematic at best, no scientist promotes this idea today.

If there is one thing paleontology agrees on, its that we are all descended from ancestors that left Africa in several waves.

Social Darwinism had its heyday. Its been shown to be bunk, as has phrenology and any other number of ideas.
Wallace, for example, believed in phrenology, but it does not take away from his genius in coming up with the idea of evolution at about the same time Darwin did.

Science is self correcting. It does it through the scientific method. Religion is not.

I would end by pointing out that St-Paul's works are rife with homophobia and misogyny. Do believers think that this detract from his message of God as the source of all salvation, love and goodness? No. Quite the opposite, they use it to justify their position on the issues of homosexuality and feminism.

Your premise is flawed. In short, you are taking the whole ground breaking work of "The Origin of Species" and metaphorically tossing the baby out with the bathwater because you are offended by one aspect of the bathwater itself. What you are not taking into consideration is the point in time when the work was done. The social morals and what was considered "acceptable" behavior were very different than they are now. Consequently...

If I were to take your premise to heart, would I then do something like refusing to take my children to Disneyworld because Walt Disney was a racist and a member of the John Burch Society? Of course not! If Walt were still alive, I would not associate with him due to his racist beliefs but I certainly would not shun the good things that he created. The same can be said about Darwin.

The truth is some probably are and some aren't. The fact that evolution is correct is in itself false. Evolution was created by a man who had a justified theory about the creation of our world but its been proven false time and again. We have learned that people who don't believe in God tried to create an alternate reason for our existence because humanity is full of itself. They need an answer and if God doesn't do it for them they look to something else. Thier always looking for the missing link but haven't found it and yet they want us to believe we evolved from apes. What happened to the other apes, maybe they decided to stay behind. The worst is when they tell us one of our ancestors was a giant catfish. This was on Discovery. How can any animal who breathes only under water become a land only creature millions of years later. I'm sure the ones that tried suffocated pretty quickly. So for all those evolutionists try submerge yourself underwater until you develop gills

yes, like many of the people of his time he had race issues.

Note that almost EVERYBODY in his country shared these views, including the clergy and religious. Darwin was a product of his time as, I might add, are we.

Also, and more to the point: Evolution stands with or without Darwin. The man doesn't count, it's the process.

Even if Darwin did prove that, he was proving it to be TRUE AS A FACT. Not a moral belief. Saying someone is closer to an ape is not necessarily an insult. You Christians take offence WAY too easily and assume truth = what you want to believe. Grow up.

I'm sure you'll dismiss this as it's not the answer you want to hear, but...
Regardless of Darwins view points, whatever they were, the word "RACE" as used in the title of his book, has nothing to do with human racism, nor is there any evidence of such political views in any of his literature. All life (species) can be subdivided into races, which is an apt name if you consider that these species are sometimes in competition with each other.

American and World History shows quite the contrary. In all of history the Church has been behind the most heinous acts of racism. The KKK was founded as a Christian organization. Hitlers great cleansing was that of a Christian revival. Why does everyone feel the need to bring God into their hate. I suppose they feel it justifies it. Before calling the kettle black, make sure of the colors you represent.

Actually people who really understand evolution know that every being is just as important for there to be a few that might be considered, in some scenarios, better.

2007-02-08 02:07:42 · answer #10 · answered by Gustav 5 · 2 0

Actually evolutionary theory has nothing to do with racialist theories. There is only one human species and science has disproved any concepts of superiority of one race over another. Evolutionary theory has been proven as fact, so any sensible person is already an evolutionist. Are you accusing all sensible people on the planet of being racists?
