ATHEISTS RULE!

I'm not scared of you atheists. I was even friends with a relative of an atheist's cousin, once. To prove their atheism does not come off on Christians - I touched one. WITH A VERY LONG STICK! I took the stick to have it analyzed to see if there was toxic or viral substances to come off on the stick as a result.

All that was found in the lab results were that the atheist was drunk, had lemons for breakfast, hard broiled eggs for lunch and live cute kittens for supper. But nothing contagious was found, as the mottled, red-blister scarred, dead bodies in the atheist's neighborhood will attest. (huh?)

What was your question again? Oh! Atheists Drool! (due to epilepsy I think).

You are right, at this time it would seem that atheists have the upper hand in the rule of the world and perhaps that will increase... but in God's good time it will change and then I guess there will be no atheists to admit any wrong.
Oh and by the way Mawkish... most of what has been claimed to be scientific proof of evolution has and is being proven to be fraudulent, incorrect, or simply non-existent. Which is why there are many scientists who are moving away from a "strictly evolutionary" standpoint to a view in which a creator or must exist.

Whilst I don't agree that atheists rule (like a George Bush, he's not an atheist and he rules - unfortunately), I do agree that atheists are not wrong about their belief. I am an atheist myself (obviously) and find the mentality of many non-atheists to be depressing. Trying to explain logic and science to them is like banging your head against a brick wall - the answer will always come back to "it's God's plan" and that is the most rediculous answer of all.

Try to explain to a Christian that ten years ago there was insufficient evidence for evolution, but now enough fossil evidence has been obtained to show evolution to be fact and see what happens. Either they are fundimentalist and say "you are lying, you are wrong and I am right" when they aren't OR they will say "Well, God planned for you to find the fossils as evolution demonstrates God's power - it's God's plan"

How about evidence for the origin of the universe (mathematical models based on M-theory and the current expansion-rate of the universe have shown that the matter/energy can emerge from the interaction between two branes). Tell that to a fundimentalist and they will say "You are lying, there isn't enough evidence, I am right and you are wrong dispite all the beautifully balencing equations" OR a Christian will say "Ah, but this is all part of God's plan. He made the universe such that this would happen, and it shows how wonderful God is. It's God's plan".

Frustrating hey?

The worst thing is that, by definition, God must trascend the universe in its entirety. God must be totally unbounded by the universe. This means that it is completely and totally impossible to proove the non-existance of God, because the nature of proof lies in the bounds of the unverse. That is not, however, proof of God's existance (and Christians will tend to argue that it is).

Every arguement a Christian presents (the 'specialness' of the Earth, etc) can be defeated by rational thinking. Of course we think the Earth is special, we evolved here! Of course we are on a planet suited to life, we couldn't be on a planet that ISN'T suited to life, could we? And who is to say that there aren't other planets with equally deluded beings on them thinking their planet is special?

The simple fact is that many Atheists have been Christians and many Christians have been Atheists. You tend to find the more educated people are Atheists (statistically 79% of people with an IQ over 130 are atheist, rising to 98% of people with an IQ over 150). Does that mean that Christians are stupid? Nope, just ignorant in choosing not to listen to the majority of educated people.

when I see answers like "atheists are wrong about many things" it just highlights the igonrance. As an Atheist I was once a Christian and lived a Christian life. I learned more, got smarter, and realised that God didn't exist. You must make excuses for God to justify his existance!

I answered a question on this recently and was voted best answer. The link is in my sources below. I suggest you read it before you click 'thumbs down' because you don't agree. Any thumbs down I have after that I can assume came from ignorance.

An individual atheist can be wrong about some things, just like everyone else...but they are not wrong about all gods being imaginary.
