Anyone can call themselves Christian because the say Jesus is the Christ. But true Christianity not only requires the belief in Jesus, but also to follow His teaching and His examples. Bottom lime, there aren't that many "true Christians". God bless you.

First off, I am agnostic. My own personal belief is this... People create their own interpretation of the text. This is a huge mistake i belive in the whole idea of 'the bible'. It tells people to spread the word of god, but god has not given anyone the ability to truly understand it. So then you have some warmonger reading the bible and dedicating every battle to god. This makes no sense because as we all know... thou shalt not kill. This was proven in the crusades, and even today with Islam. They are no different if you ask me. There is no footnotes in the bible. Everything is up for interpretation. Unfortunately, god has allowed stupid people to read.
To answer your question though, Christians are so judgmental because they want you to become christian by any means necessary. Chances are you will not be judged... if you're Christian. Plus, the hierarchy that Christians have created generates the feeling by many people that in the eyes of god they are superior and have a 'better seat' near god. They may try to get you to the level they are at strictly for their love of you and for god, but in reality it is very wrong.

Well, Some Christians area of weakness are the mental attitude sins and sins of the tongue.
Our sin nature is with us always. Thank God that we can utilize 1John1:9 and get back in fellowship.
I have learned that when I judge a person, I get the discipline and the person that I judge gets a blessing. I have enough discipline of my own!!!
I will leave the judging to the Lord.
Peace out.

If a christian hates gays for being gay then they are wrong. According to the KJV bible it is abomination for man to lie with mankind,I didn't write this and it is nothing new. I do have a problem with anyone openly saying that they are not christian and still wanting to get married. Marriage is an institution that God created and if you don't believe why do you want to seem to believe and become married. It is hypocritical to call it marriage call it a union or something, and what ever law says it is ok then get married under that law but leave God out of it.

"Judge not lest you be judged. You therefore have no right to judge me when it comes to my sins!"
The world often takes this verse out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Romans 14:10; James 4:11). In Luke 6:41,42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother’s eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It’s knowing what should be tolerated—and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn’t."
There's a difference between acknowledging the doing of right and wrong along with warning someone of the impending judgment if they continue to do wrong versus outright condemning them to hell. While you see some Christians, especially on YA who do this the number is fairly small versus the number of people who are using righteous judgment. It should be fairly easy to tell the difference between the two. It has nothing to do with being holier than thou, most Christians will readily admit they are no better than anyone else the difference being they are remorseful of their sins and do what is necessary to make it right with God.

I am a Christian and this not judging has two aspects. If you are supposed to avoid sin and be Holy then it seems to me that you have to discern between right and wrong and make a choice for your path. If a sinner comes to me and wants to repent then with open arms I will not judge their past and welcome them into the body of Christ. I still have to discern the company I keep, and if someone continues to sin and wont repent, and or is blind I have to be able to judge the situation and not put myself in a position that allows satan to have a crack in my demeanor. I should pray for him/her and allow God to work his wonderful and most perfect plan in the sinners life just like he did for me. Anyone that is a "hater" and not a "lover" is wrong! You can not like someone but you should always LOVE them. Pray for them and that includes opposing religions. We don't have to like or accept anything other than the Word as truth, but going out of your way to hurt someone or talk badly about beliefs is wrong. Now defending rights and standing up for your beliefs (which should be the Word) Jesus himself instructed on not being afraid or ashamed to preach the Word. Here we have to discern the truth from the non-truth, this is judging also in a sense. I think the word "judge" has been taken out of context by the world in reference to the Bible.
We are to help the Kingdom infuse more souls, that should be top priority besides growing in the Word personally and LOVING!!!.

That used to bother me so much that I quit going to church for several years. But no man can "damn you to Hell". There are hypocrites in every church, company, school etc. I have a saying-Stick with the winners. Stay away from negative offensive people who wear a mask of virtue. But the bible is right-don't judge!
By the way, more atheists and agnostics seem to have a "holier than thou" attitude than the Christians I have met.

There are three diefferent levels of religion:
1. Radicals- theses are the people who are really judgemental.
2. Normals- the normal followers are those who obey the basic rules, you know the Bible, and mind their own.
3. Wannabes- These are the people who say they are a religion and then never attend church, never touch a Bible or ever pray.
I'm a normal and you probably are too. I guess you have just encountered some radicals and they are usually the ones that leave a lasting impression of how a religion may be.

Terrific question that could be asked of humanity, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddists, Atheists, Pagans, . . and that from scripture it says
הריני מקבל עלי מצת עשה של ואהבת לרעך כמוך
(Love your fellow man as yourself) so that the continuing question to humanity is that why doesn’t the world love all it's neighbors? This fortunately has an answer is coming soon, may it be speedily in our time with the coming of the Messiah.

This text is being taken way out of context. You should know right from wrong, and you should be able to tell others what they are doing is wrong if it is wrong, but if you do, be sure that you will be told if you do anything wrong. You nor anyone else for that matter can truly condemn anyone to Hell, that is the job of God, and he is the only one who can do that. If we are not to judge at all, then how can we say what is right and what is wrong.
