then why are women so obsessed with makeup, fashion, cosmetics & hairstyles? If you really think people will date people based on what's on your inside, then why bother to take extensive care of your looks? You might as well use a minimal make-up to be happy yourself & not care about what another man has to think about you.

people fall in love with what is on the inside but to attract them in the first place you have to look your best and when you have the person you love you want to look your best for them

Think about it in terms of cars. Are you going to buy the shiny new car on the lot or the old beatup dusty wreck next to it??
You are going to buy what your money can afford!!
On a more serious note. Women dress up to get confidence and to get noticed. Men has been and will always be attracted to visual stimulation thats how it is. Women wants to be noticed for their minds and personality but they have figured out Aeons ago what makes men tick.

Love beggings with attraction...attraction can be physical or emotional.. either way, women make up...change hairstyle to make themselves feel comfortable, to feel great.... if you feel great inside everyone will like you... Well, I dont know.... but still.... all the makeup, cosmetics, hairstyles combined will not defute the fact that looks are not everything.....Get me well, they matter but they are not everything.

Although i like to keep it natural myself, I don't feel their anything wrong with a little makeup, however some of us women have taken it to an extreme. It seems nothing about us is "real" anymore. I blame this on society though, it's like you're not considered beautiful unless you have fake hair, fake eyelashes, fake boobs, etc.
I agree with you, if we want men to like us for what we are on the inside, we should not be so focused on superficial beauty. Afterall, when you marry, your husband is eventually going to see you without the makeup, extra eyelashes, and extra hair.

While it is good to be concerned about our outside appearance, people who are obsessed with just how they look, tend to avoid what really is important, and that is inner beauty. The era of today, is how beautiful you are and unfortunately a lot of people had bought into this.

Actually I am one of those women who doesnt wear all the much makeup and I do not care about impressing a man other than my own. Most girls do it because it makes them feel good and not because they want to impress someone.

I think we do this to catch their attention first, then they can pay attention to what's on the inside. If they never look your way then sometimes they never get the chance to see what's really there.
Not to mention, women dress up to show off for each other, as well as guys. Also it sometimes gives us a confidence boost--if we think we look good it jolts our self esteem.

beauty is not the #1 thing in a relationship, but that does not mean that a woman doesn't have the right to make herself up for her own confidence of appearance.
just because a woman wants to look good does not mean that she is relying on her looks to carry her relationship for her, she just likes to look good!!

Speaking for women the reason we wear makeup and get our hair done is to make ourseleves look good and if we look good than we feel good.

alot of women like to wear make up. all of these thing you have listed are girly things women like to do. and they don't always do it for other people most of the time it is for them
