Not exactly. They had plaques about Darwin's quote about the eye evolving was absurd without of course the following text in which he explained why it wasn't absurd and explained its evolutionary development in its entirety. It featured a hand coming out of a soup can showing how silly abiogenesis out of a primordial soup really is. It showed a tombstone with the words 'theory of evolution' on it.

It was the 'genesis expo' yes, a creationist museum right here in my home city in 'secular' England.

They had a guest book in which I put 'Believing in creationism was forgivable for an ignorant bronze age people but its only wilful ignorance and foolishness to cling to it in this day and age. Darwin was right. Mendelian genetics was the key and the Earth is 4.55 billion years old. Deal with it.

My question isn't whether this was a harsh statement to leave in their book - my question is really if I should have burnt the whole place down?

I feel slightly better after a few subtle alterations to the entry for it on Wikipedia.

Really, we need to let people know that this creation idea is simply ludicrous. It isn't a matter of letting people believe what they want to believe anymore. People honestly deny the simple fact that living creatures evolve, even within our lifetimes. Guys, this is willful ignorance and absolutely ridiculous! I won't even pretend to hold your hand through this and be nice. You have to stop being ignorant about how the world works. This isn't a point of belief but of blatant disregard for reality. Believe that God made us through evolution if you want, but it's not okay to believe that some supreme being planted us here, made out of dirt and cloning from a rib!

Don't worry-99% of British people will treat it like the circus freak show it really is-it is a museum in name only. I'm glad it's out in the open-let people see the crap that creationists are promoting as fact.

A lot of entertainment appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Actually, those things are pretty funny. It just shows what a lack of critical thinking does to people.

Do the math if you doubt creationism.
Scientists estimate that the universe is 20 billion years old and there are approximately 100 billion stars in our galaxy, conservatively.
If you do the math that means 36.7 stars were born every second. We have never seen a star being born, although we have observed stars dieing. If stars are being born every second, why haven't we been seeing them?
This leads strong credence to creationism, since it was all done at once.

I wouldn't shed a tear, that's for sure.

Edit: Was checking out the links - the first one is truly frightening.
