The real and close friendship is the one where you can talk openly to your friends, tell them about your problems, listen theirs, ask or give any advise etc. If you don't spend time with her, how can you do that? The max. is a simple frienship, but not a close one.

Yes, I know you can. My best friend of over 22 years, we have been best friends since high school and when you are best friends it's something you feel and never lose. I love her, she's my best friend. We lost touch for a few years but we are back in-touch and we are the same as when we were in school, people think it's crazy but we are who we are! We were real to each other no fake attitudes with each other real to each other, honest it's what best friends are for. We are there for each other thru thick and thin and there is NOTHING I wouldn't do for her and the same with her for me, and we have proven that! A best friend is a gift and cannot be replaced! Treasure them no matter how far away they are!

No because one of the key parts of having a bf is spending a lot of time with them and hanging out with them. A best friend who you don't hang out with is really just a friend.

I have a best friend who lives in another state and we never see each other. We have been friends since 1969. She works as a counselor and she never has time to write to me. I get a birthday card or Christmas card from her every year and that is about it. She did call me in 1990 when my son was in prison and we did get to talk for a few minutes. I really wish that she would write to me so I could hear from her.

There are friends who you do alot with and other friends who are most trusted other friends who are kindred spirits. 'Best Friend' is just a label. Maybe this friendship isn't about that label.

Not really. It's not feeling like a best friendship anymore, right? That's because it's not.

I think so as long as you have that once in awhile phone chat.or even if you have a early brunch .as long as your friend know that you guys are best friend then anything shouldn't come beween that.
