If I have sausage patties, I like to break one up and put it in my grits. That's good too.

The quick approach is just salt and butter, like any vegetable.

If I have time to bake, then garlic cheese in the grits and baked.

If I make enough for more than one meal (9x13 or 10x15) then fried grits the next day. Don't do that very often.

I love grits! I like them with some butter and crumbled up sausage. WIth toast- gotta have toast!! Now I want some, I haven't had any in ages!! Or you can add a sunny side up egg. Yummm

I used to eat grits all the time back home, up north, they don't really have any different types of grits.

umm! Grits are good almost any way you like them. I like mine with pepper, and butter. What is really good is to mix in crispy bacon, slightly runny eggs, and have toast with jelly! If that won't fill you up, I don't know what will!

Salt, pepper and REAL butter - none of that margarine stuff, bleck! Occasionally I'll throw some cheddar cheese in there. Good stuff!
