I'm a guy with lonish hair. When I come out of the shower and it dries it looks terrible. It's frizzy and puffy looking. When I wake up it looks a little better and as the day goes on it starts to look good. It looks best at night but then I shower again and it starts over. I just took a shower and i'm going to a party later tonight, I want my hair to look good not frizzy. What should I do? Please don't give me change your shampoo or buy this or something like this cuz i need to do it right now.

Your hair looks so poofy right after it's cleaned and dried because you've just stripped it of all it's oils produced since your last shower. After you sleep and as the day goes on, your glands are producing more oils so it makes it look silkier. I recomend that you try sunsilk anti-poof shampoo and conditioner. It's a line made especially for people whose hair poofs (more than others) as it dries. You can get it at walmart and it's pretty cheap.
Good luck,
Christi

Your pillow or however you sleep is smashing down your hair folicles, it works like a crimping iron or rollers for long hair. My hair is naturally curly and is frizzy when it dries as well. I use hair products to control the frizz. Something that works for guys with frizzy hair without the hair products is to use a nylon, after towel drying your hair to hold your hair down. Comb it however you want it but then cover it for a short while until it is completely dry..this works like your pillow which is smashing or holding your hair down...the reason you hair looks better later in the day is because your hair begins to relax more by the end of the day sooo, it becomes more flattened. If you don't have a nylon(knee-hi type) Use a bandana or a cap to cover, dry and hold your hair down; I'd say maybe a beanie but they are usually made of wool which will cause static on your hair making it frizz out with static electricity...but anything to hold your hair down in place. These things work the same as you laying down on your hair when your hair has to stay in place but is being smashed down breaking up the frizzies. Good Luck

Ok... I wont tell ya to buy a better conditioner for "frizzy dry hair"...as you NEED an answer right now*....if you don't have a "straightner iron"...and you just got out of the shower...put some gel* in it to flatten the frizz...as for the dry look* You need a Hair cut and your hair will look much healthier. Have fun at the party tnight...and we all have "bad hair days"....Not much you can do in the winter...you're in the warm then out in the bitter cold...GoodLUck* (get a trim* at barbers it will make a huge difference )~

if you don't have gel or mousse and need a quick fix use lotion. I have thick frizzy hair and if i'm in a bind where my other stuff quits working I take about a dime size dollop of lotion and smear it in my hands briskly and lightly work it my hair. be careful if you use to much you end up looking greasy

You are stripping your hair of it's natural oils when you shampoo. If you want it to look good immediately after shampooing, you'll need to use a good conditioner. Sorry, no getting around this one.

I think it's because of the natural oils that we have. Most people I know wash their hair every other day because of this.

if you don't like the way it looks cut it.... or use... mousse or gel or pomade, which will make it stay in place without making it hard.
