Whether or not you can sleep with your contacts in your eyes is almost entirely up to you. If you can fall asleep with them in and wake up without irritation than go for it. This is only suitable with soft contact lenses though. I would not recommend leaving your contacts in if they are hard lenses. If you still have any major concerns, ask your optometrist.

Hard contact lenses you cannot sleep in. However, soft contact lenses you can. It is a very good idea that no matter what kind you have that you take them out when sleeping though.

Some contact lenses are designed to be worn for up to a month without taking them out, however, there are those, especially for higher prescriptions that require you to take them out at night. It is possible to sleep in them, but it reduces the amount of oxygen to the eye, decreasing the rate it heals at and making it more susceptible to infection.

You can sleep with SOME contact lenses, extended wear ones. But with daily wear, it is not recommended because you don't get enough moisture in your eyes from them!!
However, even with my extended contact lenses; I found that I had to remove them every other day & clean them!! The best thing to do is to go have radial karatonomy....... so one does not have to wear contacts or glasses!!

There are some contact lenses that you can sleep with, but you need to check with your eye doctor first.

Only with some brands of contact lenses can you go to sleep with them still in. You need to read the package they came in to see if you can sleep in them. Typically, you can not.

I do. I wear contacts that are aproved to wear for a month. But I know some people who - if they sleep in thier contacts will wake up with very irritated eyes. My eyes must have a high tolerance level.

You shouldn't in most cases, but I always did and haven't encountered any major problems. I use two-week disposable lenses and have gone almost a full week without taking them out. Just be careful. If you feel any irritation, you should take them out.

Yes, you can. However it will increase your risk of infection and, if you do it for a very long time, you can cause your eyes to not get enough oxygen. It's important that you wear disposable contacts. I would wear mine for a week straight and then throw them out. Talk to your eye doctor about what the best way to do it is.
If it's just for one night or something, however, I wouldn't worry about it. Issues only occur if you want to do it long-term.
