A snarky but actually an excellent question.

My lack of faith was arrived at after much reading of many books
including the bible.

It took much introspective thought & searching for answers on my part.

There were no well organized & financed programs of
indoctrination as one finds in religion & that begin in early child
hood.

So yes "learned" via SELF education. However I also suspect
that the way the brain is hardwired may have to do with it also. Yes, a gene for this may exist & be discovered & set people like
me aside as special & separate from the masses.

Eradicated? Studies repeatedly show that the Godless & unchurched are slowly but deffinitely increasing with time.

According to author Dan Harris, " Letter to a Christion Nation", it
is religion that will have to go.

Faith is taught and indoctrinated, lack of faith is a matter of experience, understanding and independent thought.

A child has faith that there is a Santa Claus after being TOLD that he exists, an adult learns from experience and greater understanding of the World that such a being does not - and cannot possibly - exist.

Far from lack of faith being a "genetic abnormality", recent genetic discoveries have revealed a need to believe in something is an inherited condition, based on a genetic mutation. Once again I advise the religious adherents: "judge ye not lest ye be judged" which was, I believe, the Bible's way of telling you not to shoot your mouth off until your brains are properly loaded.

The exact opposite is the case. Faith, the belief in a deity, religion is a learned condition. One can only hope that this will one day be isolated and eradicated.

Anything we have or don't have is due to our own karma. We do actions that will have reactions in the future. Right now we are getting the reactions of our past actions and at the same time creating future reactions. It is easy to blame it on "genetic abnormality", "the change in the weather", etc. Let's stop blaming others and other conditions for our deficiencies and start giving serious thoughts to improve our lives specially our spiritual life.

Lack of faith is a normal human trait. Religion helps strengthen our faith and teach us the lessons that will lead us to everlasting life. The world is full of pain and suffering. To look past what the eye can see and what the ear hears takes faith. Our faith is tested daily, which wears us down.

Lack of blind faith is the desired condition. Faith implies laziness and intellectual dishonesty. Having only faith means you will never learn the truth.

All children are born without religion. They're later brainwashed into following whatever whacky thing their parents believed.

In all actuality, faith is something that absolves with learning. Only through speculation, reasoning and logic does it become apparent that faith is indeed a crutch. There is no need for faith, there are facts. Seek them and you shall not be left wanting.

No, faith is a learned condition. We are all born atheists...
And one day religion will be eradicated...

Atheism = Path of Reason= Enlightenment= The Only Hope for Mankind/World to be Free and Survive.

The only ones here 'lacking' something are Bigots and Believers whose brains have been shut down by those who brainwashed them.

You are not born with faith, in fact, one could argue you are born atheist and then learn about God, Allah, or whoever. A Child has no innate sense of God but is taught to have faith.
