They are basically small lima beans - if you've ever had those. They are very starchy and quite bland in taste. They pick up whatever flavor you are cooking with - people use them a lot in stews or soups. I don't "like" them per se, but don't dislike them either. If I eat them, I cover them with butter and salt. I wouldn't choose them as a side dish though.

Well to be honest I think they are the worst of vegetables.
Imagine a large baked bean without its sauce and you're almost there.The texture is mush and the taste is reminiscent of something you should have chucked out from your store cupboard but didn't.
If it's a part of your recipe I just hope you've a flavor in there that's going to kill the beggers

They have the usual bean taste but not like butter. My favourite is broad beans.

They tend to be on the bland side but when cooked properly have an amazingly creamy texture. They are wonderful added to soups or stir fries. You can also use them in succotash as you would use lima beans. For vegetarians, they can add another layer of texture and, of course, proteins and fiber.

Well, kidney beans don't taste like kidneys...
I'm not a big bean fan myself!

I think they are lovely, mild, slightly nutty, can be a bit bland on their own, but because of that they will take to flavouring.
Can be served on their own as a 'veg', or in a sauce and great for adding to casseroles with lamb or bacon.

when cooked, it would be very soft like a ground paste of nuts. they are healthy (but gives lots of aftermaths like gaz). I don't like the sight of it even though I was told to eat it.
