NTL/Virgin media were due to install my tv service today but now say they cannot connect me. I cannot get a sky dish because I am in rented accomoodation and it is a Grade II listed building. There is no freeview reception in my area, can anybody suggest any way of getting digital TV? Homechoice Tiscali is not available in my area either. Please help!

Didn't say why ntl wouldn't install.

without freeview coverage there is no way to get it.

Unless you have a multi media centre ( computer that allows you to watch tv ) plugged into you main tv.

The other option is to find out WHEN freeview coverage is coming to your area, and decide if the wait is long enough and justifable

See what your neighbors are doing about the problem. Then ask them if they'd be interested in paid TV service. A satellite TV antenna can be installed on the roof of the apartment complex and be distributed to any tenant that will pay for the service. You could share the cost.
