I hope this doesn't sound childish, since I have a son your age, but I would write her a quick note. Just say that you would like to talk to her and was wondering when would be a good time. Be sure to put in the note that you know you don't have any classes together and you don't see her before or after school and would like to make a time to talk. Is there an after school activity bus so that you could stay after one day?

It is very much like any science experiment. Every element may change the outcome. Unless you know her friends you don't want to chance what they may say or do. If you do know them then maybe you can get them on your side, but otherwise try and find her alone.
Just because she walks with them does not mean she is "herself" around them, she may try to play it "cool" or act like she doesn't care because her friends are around. The best bet to get an honest reaction is to first approach her when she is alone.

If you go up to her in front of her friends, you get Kudos for being brave. Know that if you ask to speak to her privately, you are going to become the topic of her friends' conversation immediately, and that she will tell them what happened later. In detail.
Make sure you start casual, though--don't tell her how you feel right off the bat. Flirt in moderation.
You might try checking school sports or club/event listings for her name and attend the game...then congratulate her later.

Talk to her alone... the friends will only make the situation weird. if you see her with her friends just walk up and ask if you can talk to her for a minute and gently put your hand on the small of her back and lead her away from her friends to talk.

If you can find her alone that would ne best. If she is with friends then yes, cut away a bit more privately. You seem to know what to do. Go for it. Good luck man. I hope it wors out for you.

Without friends, but she would prob admire u more for being braver to see her when she's with her friends. Just ask if u can talk to her privately. Going up to her when she's with her friends shows you're really interested. Good luck:)

I would prefere it if a guy came up to me while I was with my friends and then if I wanted to talk to him more I would leave my friends to talk to him. Normally a girl would feel more comfortable with a guy when she is with her friends.

how many times have u asked this question?!?!??!
u should try to go up to her when she is alone. its better that way, so she isnt influenced by what her friends think. if that isnt possible though, to find her by herself, then just go up to her while shes with her friends. its way harder that way, but u have to talk to her sumhow.

If you have the confidence to do it. In front of her friends would be more flattering to her.
