First of I'd go to your doctor and check your memory loss isn't a symptom of anything else. It probably isn't, but it's as well to be safe.
Assuming all is well, I'd suggest that rather than take something, you learn about different techniques for improving your memory. There are techniques, from linking ideas together to help you remember lists, to attaching the idea of things you need to remember to certain memorable locations, to building yourself a 'memory palace', all of which could be useful to you.
Basically, the more you train your memory to work for you, the better it'll be. And training your memory is free, effective, and won't have any side effects.
Best of luck!

start with what you do remember best.
if it is a shape, or a color. or just any kind of print, start there.
these little things you talk about mean alot,
forme it meant how to just take med.s on time, i couldn't recongize the hour needed, or if assisted to even take 'em.
i knew the color red, not the time.. or day, just red.
it was the start i needed to begin.
i do now have an odd looking med pack, still with some blocked out red, without reguard to time or day, but because of this simple thing the majority of the time my dilantin is taken as prescribed, it's the color i could start with, no one outside of here really knows me any way so at least i can try,
what kind of little things you have trouble with i don't know, but i have found out too that to be able to keep up with the begger stuff in life you need to keep it in order with keeping up with these tiny things at all one time.
at least at work i may have an answer. slow down,
what very little thing ALLWAYS gets your attention first? a pen, calcutator, the phone, or if in a factory is it the dust piled on the floor you first recognize.
all you need is even one tiny little thing to help you regain a disorganized mind, find it, then what does it relate to. maybe the pen on your desk means you have to write something down, then even if you cann't remember what to write, take the pen and scribble out something, anything, just to allow your mind to become reorganized about the important tiny things that ties our ideas togeter. this way will not have any miracle cure, but once done you have the potential to redo what a whole lot of stress can cause.
so what? who cares if their ceo picks up a pen and scribbles while they talk? at that point who cares at all? only you knew where these little things had to start to keep you going on.
right?
keep on scribbling out those notes during the board meetings boss. the big things always end up in your lap anyway.
it's the tie in with to all those little things that keep things working.
flip a clip ( paper clip)
who care? it's enough you did.

Try doing some word games like crossword puzzles, seek and finds, cryptoquotes or even suduku. These will help your memory and you will be surprised how much more you will retain. Doctors have even done studies that show that playing word games helps improve memory.

In my opinion, everything on the market is solely there to 'get you to buy their product.' I'd suggest writing yourself reminder notes...
