I can not find a church that accepts me while wearing regular clothes! i don't like dressing up to go to church but I definitaly don't like looking like a slob either. Does it say anywhere in the bible that you can not wear jeans and a t-shirt to go to church?

If they are so uptight about what you wear remind them that God brought you into this world naked....

You can find a church that will let you wear jeans. Jeans are no big deal, that is an old mind set that some people have. Wearing any kinds of pants to some people is like a woman trying to take over a mans position. Is it really the "church" that disagrees with you wearing jeans or is it the other church goers? Try talking to your pastor/priest/rabbi about the situation, things are not always as bad as they seem, maybe it is just the "old timers" giving you dirty looks because when they were your age they wouldn't dare to wear jeans to church. Times change! My home town still has it on the books that it is illegal to drive a car on Sunday!

Many teens in my church wear jeans and a T-shirt. I have been to a Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas (very near the beach) where people are seen wearing swimsuits.

I cannot imagine where you live. I am in Missouri and many churches around here encourage people to "come as they are." I would suggest that you try a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. You will never be passed a collection plate and while they will all be dressed up, they will be happy to have you visit in whatever you choose to wear as long as it is not too immodest. Their meeting times are usually posted right by their front door.

I am a Calvinst or go to a non-denomination church and my husband always wears jeans and a t-shirt to church. I forget the scripture my husband uses for not dressing up, if you want to know I can ask him and I will email it to you later.

I don't go to church because I do not feel the urge to compare clothes. There are a lot more street level ministries forming. Try to find one of these. They are more accepting of it all because most of their parishioners are average joes who seen hell.:)

"Where there are 2 or more, I will be there"
Not a direct quote but you get the idea.

None, jeans and T-shirt must be OK, a pure heart is what is required. And nobody besides God can read your heart.

There are many. Keep looking. I go to one. It's not what's on the outside that counts, but whats on the inside.

No it doesn't. Catholics accept you wearing whatever your want. Well at least in England they do.

I believe in protestant Christianity it is a show. You must dance in church and raise your hands and wear a nice dress.

No not in those words. But I think a woman should wear a dress out of respect. She doesnt have to wear one all the time like in public.
