hiya i go to a fitness class at 7pm and i am always hungry before i go because i have my lunch at 1pm what could i eat before the gym that is healthy and what could i eat after as i always seem to be hungrey once i have been ???
i am on a diet so healthy options only thanxs xx

be4 the gym eat pasta or beans or sumfin bout 2hrs b4 - gives u energy for ur workout

abter the gym eat chicken, tuna or protien - helps the muscles grow and repair etc etc

Drink lots of water b4 during and after a work out

I feel it is best to eat every 4 hours. Something with lots of protien and some carbs. Especially if you going to gym. I have like whole grain rice cakes with tuna and light mayo, also Special K bars, although they dont really seem to hit the spot. Cottage cheese is also good, make sure its low fat.

Try avoid high gi food coz it wont sustain your energy levels.

you need something easy to digest before, and you should have it at least an hour before you go. I suggest a banana or dried cranberries as they have lots of energy to make your excersize more effective. Alternatively a smoothie or yoghurt, as they 'go down easily'!

Although many dieters avoid such fruit as bananas, the calories in these are NECESSARY to burn fat. As long as you are excersizing, you will need energy.

After, the best possible food is a seed/nut selection. Seeds mixed with herbs are very tasty, available from supermarkets and health stores, or nuts like brazils or almonds. Avoid peanuts, and of course go unsalted.

Don't forget bucketloads of water too!
