hiya i go to a fitness class at 7pm and i am always hungry before i go because i have my lunch at 1pm so what could i eat before that is healthy and what could i eat after as i always seem to be hungrey once i have been ???
i am on a diet so healthy options only thanxs xx

A protein bar along with a healthy drink before going to the gym always seems to satisfy my hunger. Also I drink 20 oz. of water while exercising to keep me hydrated. After the gym, try a healthy salad with fruit and cottage cheese. Also a light tuna salad with fruit and cottage cheese works for me. Of course, light tuna in water and lowfat or nonfat cottage cheese only.

You shouldn't eat within two hours before doing exercise so have a snack mid afternoon - perhaps a small bowl of porridge or a banana. Then eat after exercising - have a light meal.

Depending on the type of exercise, you can have light carbs (fruit or oatmeal) before exercise and some protein (string cheese or a handful of nuts) after exercise. The carbs are for energy and the protein is for muscle repair.
