Anyone with conservative values is "behind the times" according to the media.

Conservatives make liberals think about the consequences of their actions, and they don't like that. They want to be able to do whatever, whenever, wherever, and not answer to anyone.

Conservatives will point out the hypocrisy of the liberals and the fact that the liberals are trying to not take responsibility for their actions, so their only out is to say that they are better because they're progressive and different.

New and different is rarely better. Things are a certain way for decades or even centuries because it works.

I think that Christians are not living by the world's standards of right and wrong. We are still following what the Bible tells us, and as a result it may look behind the times, but it is only behind the world's view of the times. WIth all the corruption and sin encouraged by the world, sure it looks like we aren't living up to the world's standards or times.

Well if this question is based already on a preconceived idea christians are behind times. there is no point refuting...
Christianity is relavant to day-to-day life...
The contents of the bible are well it may "seem" out-of-date" to some extent agreeable but however...the doctrines stand nonetheless, the holiness of God prevalent, the lifestyle of how a christian should live is most relavant nevertheless

Just because we are behind the times or not the norm does not mean our beliefs are not the truth.
Look how many scientists said the earth was flat when the bible calls the earth a circle!

Talk about delusional...

The Christian belief is relevent regardless of the times.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
He is the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Him.

Only about 2000 years. But actually, recently Christians have made dramatic changes for the better, rejecting what had previously been fundamental Christian doctrine. For example , many Christians no longer follow biblical teaching to own slaves, kill witches, kill homosexuals, or sacrifice animals to cure disease. Many but unfortunately not all, have accepted that the earth is spherical, that the earth revolves around the sun, that the earth is billions of years old, and life evolves.
